Abstract£ºLeukemias are frequently associated with chromosome abnormalities and defects such as translocations, inversions, and deletions. One form of human acute myeloid leukemia (AML) is associated with an inversion of chromosome 16. A specific interest of Dr. Liu's laboratory is to investigate the molecular mechanism of human inv16 leukemia and use high-throughput methods to screen  chemical¡¡compounds for targeted treatments of leukemia.
